Sure, I get commissioned for work all the time! Just think of your favorite scenic, still-life or wildlife creation that you would like to see and I will create it (sorry, no portraits unless it’s of the fantasy variety).
How about Murals?
I love murals!! Actually, I have painted several backdrops and set pieces for the theatre. Mural costs are estimated by the complexity of the mural and size.
How do I go about getting a painting done?
One of the best ways to own a piece of artwork that is exactly to your liking is to commission something. I love to collaborate with customers regarding colors and designs. Prices for original commissioned work vary from piece to piece depending on size, medium (painting or drawing) and complexity of the subject. I am primarily a scenic, still life and wildlife artist. It’s not that I can’t paint people but I pretty much onl
y do people in a fantasy type setting (angels, faeries, mermaids, etc.). The first step to getting a piece commissioned is to think about what size, subject matter and color scheme you would like. Once we’ve agreed on a price, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to purchase materials (this also includes a design fee) with the balance due upon delivery. Usually it will take about 4-8 weeks to have an original painting completed once the idea and composition has been established. I have completed many of my commissions much earlier than the estimated time, but I always like to over estimate just a bit to give myself extra time. The painting can also be framed for an additional charge.
